Artificial Intelligence-supported Tool Chain in Manufacturing Engineering

Description
The goal is to develop an integrated toolchain for manufacturing engineering that supports decision-making in early phases. To achieve this, the toolchain will support the formalization and automated analysis of requirements and the computer aided generation of process plans and simulation models. In all these dimensions, artificial intelligence will be used for optimization and monitoring based on sensor data in the plant and synthetic data in a digital twin. The interoperability of engineering tools is also in focus and will be developed using standardized neutral data formats.

AUDIo
Auditing ML-based data driven services

Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy

Description
AUDIo will digitize the re-calibration and re-configuration of machines, which currently is a pure manual service requiring expert knowledge. In the future, the machine operators shall be enabled to perform these tasks on their own. This will be achieved by an AR-based assistant that guides the machine operators through the entire re-calibration and re-configuration process, the sensor-based measurement of calibration data, and the remote computation of re-configuration parameters supported by AI and machine learning techniques. Additionally, AUDIo will make use of the Distributed Ledger Technology to log the generated data and performed (inter-)actions in a secure, immutable, and thus auditable way.

Fühler im Netz 2.0 (Sensors in the Grid)
Use of Big Data and KI using the FiN (Fühler im Netz/Sensors in the Grid) approach for status monitoring of networks and plants in the distribution network

To ensure the supply security and grid stability in Germany in the future, the FiN project intends to investigate new and cost-effective ways of recording the grid status and detecting faults, specifically the use of Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technology. BPL is used for communicatively linking different applications in the electricity grid. Building on the Fühler im Netz (FiN) research project, FiN 2.0 is now testing large-scale solutions for monitoring the network status using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial intelligence for energy technologies and applications in production

EuProGiant implements the Gaia-X architecture through a German-Austrian consortium. As the first industrial project with practical implementation of GAIA-X principles, data-driven value creation will be rolled out in production, increasing productivity, revenue and energy efficiency while reducing CO2 equivalents and production costs. Intelligent Empowerment of Construction Industry

Description
The aim of iECO is to create a common data space for the construction industry based on Gaia-X and to use this to create a tamper-proof digital twin of the entire life cycle of a building. Thanks to the digital twin, data no longer has to be exchanged bilaterally and at great expense, but is available immediately and to everyone. On the one hand, this drastically reduces the companies' coordination costs, and on the other, it reduces the risk of important information being lost in the value chain.

Innovating Sales and Planning of Complex Industrial Products Exploiting Artificial Intelligence

InnoSale aims to innovate today’s sales systems and processes for complex and variable industrial equipment, plants and services that require time-consuming back-office support. InnoSale develops methods to increase the expressiveness of validation rules and to suggest relevant purchase options (case-based reasoning). Sales engineers will be supported in finding previous customer requests & orders and other suitable solutions quickly as well as identifying similarities between customers (evolutional clustering). User experience will be improved supported by combining deep learning systems with augmented reality techniques, 3D modelling and 3D printing.
InnoSale is one of the ITEA projects. Intelligent Empowerment of Construction Industry

Description
The aim of iECO is to create a common data space for the construction industry based on Gaia-X and to use this to create a tamper-proof digital twin of the entire life cycle of a building. Auditing ML-based data driven services

AUDIo will digitize the re-calibration and re-configuration of machines, which currently is a pure manual service requiring expert knowledge. In the future, the machine operators shall be enabled to perform these tasks on their own. This will be achieved by an AR-based assistant that guides the machine operators through the entire re-calibration and re-configuration process, the sensor-based measurement of calibration data, and the remote computation of re-configuration parameters supported by AI and machine learning techniques. Additionally, AUDIo will make use of the Distributed Ledger Technology to log the generated data and performed (inter-)actions in a secure, immutable, and thus auditable way.

Use of Big Data and KI using the FiN (Fühler im Netz/Sensors in the Grid) approach for status monitoring of networks and plants in the distribution network

To ensure the supply security and grid stability in Germany in the future, the FiN project intends to investigate new and cost-effective ways of recording the grid status and detecting faults, specifically the use of Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technology. BPL is used for communicatively linking different applications in the electricity grid. Building on the Fühler im Netz (FiN) research project, FiN 2.0 is now testing large-scale solutions for monitoring the network status using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.

Versatile and self-organizing system for user-specific beverage packaging

The aim of the overall project is to create a novel, versatile line concept for beverage filling. "As-a-Service" should it enable even smaller beverage bottlers to use fully automated packaging lines. At present, this is not economical for them due to their relatively low output. At the heart of VersiPack is a digital platform that handles the entire process in a (partially) automated way, from ordering the packaging service and the customized configuration of the packaging line to its delivery and deployment.

The aim of iECO is to create a common data space for the construction industry based on Gaia-X and to use this to create a tamper-proof digital twin of the entire life cycle of a building. Innovating Sales and Planning of Complex Industrial Products Exploiting Artificial Intelligence

InnoSale aims to innovate today’s sales systems and processes for complex and variable industrial equipment, plants and services that require time-consuming back-office support. InnoSale develops methods to increase the expressiveness of validation rules and to suggest relevant purchase options (case-based reasoning). Sales engineers will be supported in finding previous customer requests & orders and other suitable solutions quickly as well as identifying similarities between customers (evolutional clustering). User experience will be improved supported by combining deep learning systems with augmented reality techniques, 3D modelling and 3D printing.
InnoSale is one of the ITEA projects. ITEA is the Eureka R&D&I Cluster on software innovation, enabling a large international community of large industry, SMEs, start-ups, academia and customer organisations, to collaborate in funded projects that turn innovative ideas into new businesses, jobs, economic growth and benefits for society.

SynErgie 3
Synchronized and energy-adaptive manufacturing engineering for flexible alignment to a fluctuating energy supply

ZDZW will develop digital non-destructive inspection services (NDIS) as a set of strategic technologies to improve production efficiency, zero-defect, and sustainable manufacturing of European industries. ZDZW Inspection Solutions are offered in suites covering product integrity assessment, visual and geometric properties inspection, and thermal processes monitoring and control.
